• 4.C.ECa Recognize that sentences are made up of separate words.

Project Arc:

• Exploration of artists through interviews, books, videos and other media.
• Writing biographies using a digital platform.
• Sharing with community through an art showcase.

• Exploration of ocean creatures through books, media and marine biologist interview.
• Writing opinion letter to Redwood City Aquarium explaining whether your creature belongs in an aquarium.
• Sharing with community through an exhibition.

Project Arc:

• Exploration of Native American tribes including research to tribe characteristics
• Research and analysis on Native American boarding schools. Done through primary and secondary sources.
• Appreciation of Native American art through creation of jewelry, pastel drawings and basket weaving.
